Kardinal and Friends in Kenya
When it comes to creating change, Canadian rapper and record producer Kardinal Offishall knows that teamwork is the best route to success.
That’s why he’s on his way to the Maasai Mara region of East Africa with ten Toronto youth to experience the adventure of a lifetime!
All ten youth are all new friends to Kardinal—through his organization 30 Elephants, he fundraised for each student to join him based on their aspirations and passion to create change.
Once in Kenya, the group will spend time building a school for Free The Children, which will help increase access to education in the region. They will also learn about the Maasai community and culture by joining local women in a traditional beading session and learning traditional weaponry practices from Maasai warriors.
Kardinal Offishall hopes to open their eyes to the world around them, and immerse them in a new culture. He wants each student to learn about the art of public speaking and leadership training with the hope that they will return to Toronto and take action in their respective communities.
We can’t wait to see how Kardinall Offishall and his 30 Elephants friends create change in Kenya, and in Toronto communities!
